Thouraïa Belgnaoui
Visual artist, ceramist and sculptor
Born in 1956 in Rabat, where she lives and works. Painter, ceramist and sculptor, she founded a ceramics training workshop in Rabat in 2012 and trained at the La Bisbal ceramics school in Spain. She has received several awards, including the Trophy of the National Union of Moroccan Women.
Approach and materials
Her relief paintings combine textures, grids and materials, between void and density. A multidisciplinary practice from painting to ceramics and sculpture.
