Yasmina Ziyat

Painter

Born in 1983 in Laâyoune, she studied at the Institut des beaux-arts in Tétouan and has exhibited since 2010 in Morocco and abroad, while teaching applied arts. Several of her works have been acquired by Morocco’s Ministry of Culture.

Approach and materials

An inner journey in an increasingly materialistic world. Her wall installations combine transparency and fragility: she sews natural stones, tears fabric to mark the path of the journey, and works mostly at night.
